If you’ve ever wondered, on a swelteringly hot summer day, what it would feel like to submerge yourself within the contents of an ice-cold, thirst-quenching, condensation-inducing beverage, well here’s your chance (sort of).
Not withstanding the fact that it will only be a polar bear’s hair above freezing, and the water’s of Lake Michigan’s McKinley Marina are not quite palatable, this plunge will certainly be invigorating and refreshing. And, unlike a summer-time dip, at Milwaukee’s Polar Bear Plunge, you’ll be “Freezin’ for a Reason.” Collectively, the various Polar Bear Plunges, scattered throughout our fine state, are one of the single largest annual fundraising efforts for the Special Olympics of Wisconsin.
If you’ve not yet signed up for this event, it’s still not too late – the plunging will begin at noon, but you can register online, or the day of the event, onsite, beginning at 10:00. If you’re already signed up, or only interested in serving witness to the self-flogging, we look forward to seeing you there! Oh, and did we mention there will be souvenirs, costume contests, raffles, and merriment?
Sponsored by The Lowlands Group, their Café Hollander will be serving food and beverages inside a giant heated tent, a portion of their proceeds also going to the Special Olympics of Wisconsin. And will there be music, you ask? Yes. For the fourth year running, Plungers and non-plungers alike will be serenaded by the sweet sounds of Element 13.
And where does H2OChills fit into all of this?
Alongside of Café Hollander and Element 13, that’s where we’ll be, raffling off water floats, giving away spectacular koozies, adding rabid fans to our mailing list, and getting you to ‘think spring!’
Join us tomorrow for a fun-filled afternoon of activities, partake in the Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics of Wisconsin, and stop by to find out why H2OChills’ products are destined to become the ‘World’s Finest Water Floats!’
See you there!
